Grace in the grime:

underneath her hardworking fingernails, the oil and paint coalescing with pink nail polish done last Sunday.

Grace in the grit, and the ‘get er done.’  Grace in the ‘Cowboy up!’:

Grace in the muck:

Mingling with the nastiness of the world’s ways, a gentler voice pierces through calmly advising to put the tired worn fist down and grab a guitar.

Grace in the dirt:

Let it cling to you and make you filthy with gratitude.

Grace in the mud,

So it sticks to the bottom of your sole.

Grace smack dab in the middle of it,

Grace in the struggle,

Grace in the keep on keeping on,

Grace in the get up and go,

Grace before it was conceived as a concept,

Grace in the in between, of to-dos on a list

Grace in the transition, Grace leftover, grieving grace,

Grace going somewhere TBD.

Grace Unbound and unexpected.

Grace more than, and, yet…
